Favorite Album of My Year - #8

#8: Ryan Tanner - Seven Years EP

I found Ryan Tanner on complete accident.  Jonathan Canlas was running a giveaway on his Twitter that included a pro pack of Ektar, his FIND Guide, and this album in hard copy.  I guess he and Tanner are friends.  At first I thought, “Oh goody, some random music,” but then I found myself very pleasantly surprised.  Tanner’s acoustics, his voice, his lyrics, and his down-tempo style really caught my ear.  I spent about a month with this as the permanent CD in my car.  Very beautiful and very thoughtful.
